Mylar Bag Sizes Explained: Which One Do You Need?

Mylar bags are sized by capacity, not dimensions — which confuses everyone the first time. Here's the plain-English breakdown of the three standard sizes, what they hold, and what they cost when you buy factory-direct.

SizeTypical DimensionsBest ForOur Price (100ct)
3.5g~3.6" × 5"Small retail portions, samples, herbs, spices, candy$29.99 (30¢/bag)
1/2oz (14g)~4" × 6" stand-upMid-size dry goods, coffee samples, tea$39.99
1oz (28g)4.7" × 3.5"Larger dry goods, snack portions, resale packs$44.99

Solid Colors vs Printed Designs

Solid-color bags (black, white, blue, silver, red, pink) are the workhorse — clean, label-ready, cheapest. Printed designer bags cost the same per 100ct at our pricing ($29.99 for 3.5g) and sell through faster at retail because the artwork does the shelf marketing. We stock seven numbered design packs — you pick the exact artwork by number.

What "Odor Barrier" Actually Means

Real mylar is a multi-layer film (PET + aluminum + PE) that blocks moisture, light, and odor when heat-sealed or zipped shut. Cheap single-layer "mylar-look" bags don't. All our bags are multi-layer with resealable zip locks and tear notches.

💰 Wholesale math: a bag that costs $1–2 at a smoke shop costs 19–45¢ here because we import direct. That difference is your margin if you resell.

All packaging is sold empty and intended for lawful storage of food, herbs, and dry goods.
